Reading in English Newspapers (A-)

You will have to read a pile of newspapers..read them every class till the end of semester! Tbh, I don’t know what to review since students will see different news in each semester. So, let me tell you one tip..please memorize all words in the list of newspaper vocabulary in Chapter 3 (often found in headlines). The exam will ask for the meaning of each word randomly. No apply for this part, so it would help you get high marks if you could remember them. These words will also be found in another part in exam which is to write news headlines.

I took this course with A.Sushama (her last semester before retirement). She is so kind and the class is so relaxing. The mark is fairly okay. If you take any course with her, you don’t have to worry that she would skip any chapter (coz she would read everything from the beginning of a course outline will the end of the last handout). Every page (even lines) will be covered! haha

Actually, this course won’t be difficult if you are news lover. It’s something around you. Try to keep yourself update with the surrounding situations and events. New vocabulary will be found, but don’t worry you could prepare for it (as I said the one in Chapter 3). It’s very useful, so don’t be lazy!

There will be some applications/analysis in the final exam. It might be in the form of news cartoon. Try to practice analysing regularly, so you won’t be surprised in the exam.

ก็ได้อ่านหนังสือพิมพ์สมชื่อวิชาเลยอ่ะ อ่านทุกคาบค่ะ อ่านวนไปจนจบเทอม55555 ไม่รู้จะรีวิวยังไงเพราะแต่ละเทอมเนื้อหาข่าวก็ต้องเปลี่ยนไปเรื่อยๆ เอาเป็นว่าสำหรับมิดเทอมพาร์ทที่ช่วยคะแนนที่สุดคือnewspaper vocabulary คือเขาจะให้เขียนความหมายของคำนั้นๆ ถ้าท่องศัพท์ก็ทำได้แน่นอนไม่มีพลิกแพลง ฉะนั้นท่องไปเถิดดดด ยิงทีเดียวได้นกสองตัวตรงที่ว่าพาร์ทการเขียนheadlineก็ต้องใช้ศัพท์จากบทนี้ด้วย เน้นให้แม่น

เราได้เรียนกับอ.สุชามา เป็นเทอมสุดท้ายที่อ.เขาสอนพอดีก่อนเกษียณ อาจารย์ใจดีมาก แบบเรื่อยๆเนิบๆสอนง่วงๆหน่อย คะแนนก็ถือว่าโอเค เป็นไปตามเนื้อผ้าน่ะ เรียนกับอ.ไม่ต้องห่วงเรื่องอ.จะข้ามบทเรียนตรงไหนไป เพราะอ.จะอ่านให้ฟังทั้งหน้า!ทุกหน้า! อ่านไม่ผิดหรอกค่ะ อ.จะอ่านให้ฟังตั้งแต่course outlineบรรทัดแรก(ในวันแรกอ่ะนะ) แบบนี้ทั้งเทอม555

จริงๆวิชานี้ไม่ยากถ้าเป็นคนชอบอ่านข่าวอยู่แล้วอ่ะ มันเป็นเรื่องรอบๆตัว แบบเกาะติดข่าวในช่วงนั้นๆ จะยากก็แค่ตรงคำศัพท์ ซึ่งมันท่องได้ไง แม้อ.จะไม่ได้มีลิสต์มาให้หมดทุกคำ แต่บอกเลยคำที่อ.ลิสต์ให้ในchap3 (newspaper vocabulary)ช่วยได้มากๆ มีประโยชน์มากกกก อย่าขี้เกียจนะ

ไฟนอลจะมีวิเคราะห์ข่าวนิดๆหน่อยๆ อาจจะมาในรูปแบบของการ์ตูนในนสพ ลองอ่านละก็ฝึกวิเคราะห์ไปเรื่อยๆ ตอนสอบก็จะชิว สู้ๆนะฮะ
